Albania’s roads have improved quickly, but they still reward local knowledge. The SH2 dual carriageway between Tirana and Durres moves fast until the afternoon. The climb over the Llogara Pass to the Riviera is slow behind summer coaches. The old town of Berat is closed to large vehicles, so a coach group transfers to minibuses at the edge. Our drivers plan for all of it, because they drive these routes every week.
